President Samia Unveils Revised 2025 Edition of National Water Policy

Dar es Salaam, March 22, 2025 — President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan today officially launched the 2025 Edition of the National Water Policy 2002 at a special event held in Dar es Salaam.

During the ceremony, President Samia was presented with an array of tools and equipment used in the exploration and drilling of water sources and boreholes, highlighting the technological advancements being employed in the sector.

The updated version of the policy aims to address current and emerging challenges in water resource management, ensuring sustainable access to clean and safe water for all Tanzanians. The 2025 edition reflects the government’s commitment to enhancing water infrastructure, promoting conservation, and ensuring efficient utilization of water resources in line with national development goals.
