Position: Translator
This full-time role involves the accurate and culturally sensitive translation of audiovisual material, ensuring content integrity between English and Swahili. The ideal candidate will be deeply familiar with the nuances of both languages, with a strong foundation in media-related translation.
Key Responsibilities

Translate and adapt visual content while maintaining original meaning and tone.

Utilize translation software tools to ensure terminology consistency across content.

Conduct terminology research using dictionaries and specialized references.

Collaborate with dubbing teams to ensure clarity and accuracy of translated material.

Proofread and edit translated texts for grammatical precision and contextual relevance.

Adhere to established legal and ethical standards in translation practices.
Required Qualifications & Skills

A recognized degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related discipline.

Full professional proficiency in English and Swahili.

Excellent grammar, writing, and editing skills in both languages.

Prior experience in translating media content, including films and TV shows.

Familiarity with subtitling tools or translation software.
