Position: Procurement Officer (1 Vacancy)

Role Purpose

The Procurement Officer will play a key role in facilitating the execution and oversight of MCL’s courier strategy, ensuring smooth procurement operations. The role requires expertise in supply chain management to maximize sales revenue, drive sustainable business growth, and uphold high service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the issuance of Internal Purchase Requisitions (IPRs) to ensure timely procurement of goods and services.

• Ensure Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) and Framework Purchase Orders (FPOs) receive necessary approvals.

• Track deliveries to confirm goods and services meet the required specifications.

• Monitor stock levels, consumption rates, and initiate reorders as necessary.

• Manage disposal processes for returned items, printed waste, and miscellaneous assets, ensuring adherence to company policies.

• Coordinate with various departments to ensure office utilities are available and utilized efficiently.

• Handle insurance-related matters, including ensuring adequate coverage, processing claims, and maintaining updated records.

• Conduct annual supplier evaluations and provide feedback to improve service delivery.

• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to enhance procurement efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: A recognized University Degree in Procurement and Supplies from a reputable institution.

• Experience: A minimum of 3–5 years in a similar procurement role within a well-established organization.

• Professional Certification: Must be registered with the Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technicians Board (PSPTB).
