JKT Issues Stern Warning Against Fake Training Certificates

Dodoma, Tanzania – March 13, 2025

The National Service of Tanzania (Jeshi la Kujenga Taifa – JKT) has issued a strong warning to individuals involved in forging its training completion certificates, emphasizing that those found guilty will face strict legal consequences.

Speaking at a press conference in Dodoma, Acting Head of JKT’s Administration Division, Colonel Juma Mrai, addressed the growing concern regarding counterfeit certificates being used to secure employment in organizations requiring JKT-trained personnel.

Fraudulent Certificates a Growing Concern

JKT, which provides both mandatory and voluntary training programs, has recently detected cases where dishonest individuals have falsified its certificates to gain an unfair advantage in the job market. The mandatory training lasts for three months, while the voluntary program extends over two years.

“JKT wishes to inform the public that anyone caught using a fake JKT certificate for any purpose will face severe legal repercussions,” said Colonel Mrai.

Verification Measures and Public Awareness

To combat this issue, JKT has expressed its readiness to collaborate with institutions and companies requiring verification of JKT training certificates. Colonel Mrai urged organizations to conduct proper background checks to ensure they employ individuals with genuine JKT credentials.

He also reminded Tanzanians that official recruitment for JKT training programs is announced annually through mainstream media and social networks.

Warning Against Scams and Fraudulent Recruitment Messages

Colonel Mrai further cautioned the public to be wary of fraudulent schemes, including text messages and phone calls soliciting money in exchange for JKT training slots.

“Citizens should avoid being deceived by scammers claiming to facilitate JKT recruitment in exchange for money. Any suspicious messages or calls should be reported immediately to the nearest military camp or police station for legal action,” he emphasized.

With this warning, JKT aims to maintain the integrity of its training programs and protect job markets from fraudulent individuals misrepresenting their qualifications.
