Prime Minister Majaliwa Inaugurates Nzega Town Bus Terminal
Nzega, Tabora – Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa officially inaugurated a newly constructed bus terminal in Nzega Town, Tabora Region, on March 13, 2025. The state-of-the-art facility, built at a cost of TSh 4.327 billion, has been completed to 100% execution and is expected to boost business opportunities for local residents.
Speaking at the launch, Prime Minister Majaliwa commended the Nzega Municipal Council for its vision in constructing the terminal, emphasizing that it will serve as a key driver of economic activity in the area.
“This is a well-built facility that must be put into use immediately so that citizens can start benefiting from it. Municipal officials should lead the people of Nzega in taking advantage of the opportunities created here,” stated Majaliwa.
Call for Expansion of Business Stalls
The Prime Minister urged the municipal council to increase the number of business stalls at the terminal, citing that the current allocation is insufficient to accommodate the growing demand from small traders.
“We want more people to benefit from this initiative. Increase the number of stalls—this is an excellent innovation that will enable many to earn a livelihood. Bring more entrepreneurs here so they can generate income. By doing so, you will stimulate financial circulation within the area,” Majaliwa emphasized.
Government’s Commitment to Service Delivery
Prime Minister Majaliwa reaffirmed the government’s ongoing commitment to serving Tanzanians, ensuring that national development projects align with the long-term objectives of the ruling Chama cha Mapinduzi (CCM) party.
“This government remains steadfast in fulfilling its mission to serve Tanzanians. I am fully aware of the progress we have made in achieving our goals,” he noted.
Emphasis on Revenue Utilization for Development
In his concluding remarks, the Prime Minister called on municipal officials across the country to prioritize local revenue collection and directly channel funds into essential community projects.
“Utilize your internal revenues to implement development projects,” he stressed.
Prime Minister Majaliwa is currently on an official working tour in Tabora Region, engaging with local authorities and assessing various government initiatives.
