Government Announces Recruitment of 319 New Teachers

Dar es Salaam – The government has officially announced the recruitment of 319 new teachers across various disciplines, a move aimed at strengthening the education sector in different regions. These teachers have been assigned to seven municipal and district councils, including Songea, Kahama, Arusha, Tabora, Iramba, Magu, and Kaliua.
According to a statement released on March 12, 2025, by the Secretary of the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat, applicants who participated in interviews between September 4, 2024, and February 24, 2025, were selected based on their performance.
List of Newly Recruited Teachers Published
"The Secretary of the Recruitment Secretariat wishes to inform candidates who applied for various positions and underwent interviews that the list of successful candidates is now officially published," the statement read.
Furthermore, the published list includes some candidates who were in the recruitment database for different positions and have now been assigned to workstations following the availability of vacancies.
Teachers Have Been Assigned to the Following Areas:
- Songea Municipal Council
- Kahama Municipal Council
- Arusha City Council
- Tabora Municipal Council
- Iramba District Council
- Magu District Council
- Kaliua District Council
