TFF Reopens CCM Kirumba Stadium After Infrastructure Upgrades

The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has officially reopened CCM Kirumba Stadium in Mwanza following extensive infrastructure improvements that brought it up to the required regulatory standards.
According to a statement released by TFF spokesperson Clifford Ndimbo, the stadium was initially closed due to structural deficiencies that rendered it unfit for use.
"The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has reopened CCM Kirumba Stadium in Mwanza for league matches after necessary upgrades were made to meet football regulatory and technical requirements," the statement read.
The venue had previously been deemed unsuitable under club licensing regulations, leading to its closure. However, after undergoing the mandated renovations and passing an inspection, it has now been approved for use.
TFF emphasized the importance of continuous infrastructure maintenance, urging clubs to work closely with stadium owners—particularly those not managing their own venues—to ensure quality playing conditions.
"TFF continues to remind clubs to invest in maintaining and upgrading their home stadiums in collaboration with venue owners. High-quality facilities enhance league competitiveness and overall value," the federation stated.
Earlier, on March 10, 2025, TFF had suspended three stadiums simultaneously: Liti Stadium (home to Singida Black Stars), CCM Kirumba Stadium (used by Pamba Jiji), and Jamhuri Stadium in Dodoma (home to Dodoma Jiji FC). Of the three, CCM Kirumba is the first to be reinstated after completing the required upgrades.
