Simba Queens head coach Yussif Basigi has set his sights on achieving three remarkable milestones in Tanzania’s top-tier women’s football league. In his debut season at the helm, Basigi remains unbeaten, having secured 11 wins and one draw against JKT Queens.
Basigi, who previously coached Ghana’s Hasaacas Ladies, is determined to make history with Simba Queens by winning the league title, maintaining an unbeaten run, and securing a place in international competitions.
Speaking to Mwanaspoti, Basigi expressed his ambitions, emphasizing that his goals align with Simba Queens' mission to defend their championship.
"The Tanzanian league is far more competitive than in Ghana. Here, people are deeply passionate about their teams, and even the fans play a role in motivating the players. This level of commitment fuels my desire to set these records," he stated.
The coach believes that leading Simba Queens to continental football would significantly enhance his coaching credentials.
"Achieving these milestones will not only contribute to the club's success but also add great value to my coaching portfolio, especially by participating in international tournaments."
With Simba Queens battling to retain their title, all eyes will be on Basigi to see if he can etch his name in Tanzanian football history.
