Job Overview
Mwanga Hakika Bank Limited (MHB), a fully licensed commercial bank owned entirely by Tanzanians, is seeking highly motivated professionals to join its growing team. An exciting opportunity is available for a Relationship Manager – Retail (DSM) to play a key role in fostering client relationships and driving business growth.
Role Purpose
The Senior Relationship Officer will be responsible for expanding both loan and deposit portfolios by building strong relationships with Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and retail banking clients. The position requires a deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to provide tailored financial solutions that drive business success.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with SMEs and retail clients.
- Assess client financial needs and recommend appropriate banking products.
- Engage regularly with clients to provide personalized banking solutions.
✅ Revenue Generation
- Drive the acquisition of new clients while managing an existing portfolio.
- Increase deposits, loans, and other banking products through strategic sales efforts.
- Collaborate with the sales team to generate high-quality leads and cross-sell services.
✅ Credit & Risk Management
- Assess credit risks and oversee compliance with financial regulations.
- Conduct Know Your Customer (KYC) reviews to ensure adherence to banking policies.
- Work closely with internal departments to manage risk exposure and financial structures.
✅ Customer Service & Support
- Address client inquiries promptly, ensuring top-tier customer satisfaction.
- Handle complaints effectively while maintaining accurate client records.
- Monitor portfolio performance to enhance service quality and retention.
✅ Business Development & Strategy
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies for portfolio expansion.
- Conduct market analysis to support business growth initiatives.
- Prepare strategic recommendations for senior management to enhance revenue streams.
✅ Operational Efficiency
- Ensure smooth execution of client transactions while adhering to risk protocols.
- Optimize portfolio performance in alignment with the bank’s risk management framework.
Qualifications & Requirements
???? Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Banking & Finance, or a related discipline.
???? Experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in SME and Retail Banking or a similar role.
- Proven expertise in client relationship management and revenue generation.
???? Key Skills
✔ Strong ability to analyze client financial needs and suggest suitable banking solutions.
✔ Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
✔ Proven skills in relationship-building, customer service, and complaint resolution.
