Manchester United, Chelsea, and Tottenham have successfully advanced to the quarter-finals of their respective European competitions following decisive victories in their latest matches.

Manchester United Dominates Real Sociedad to Reach Europa League Quarter-Finals

Manchester United stormed into the Europa League quarter-finals after a commanding 4-1 victory over Real Sociedad at Old Trafford. This emphatic win secured their passage with a 5-2 aggregate score, having previously drawn 1-1 in Spain.

United’s triumph was spearheaded by captain Bruno Fernandes, who delivered a sensational hat-trick, further solidifying his status as the top penalty scorer in the competition, with nine goals from the spot. The remaining goal was netted by Diogo Dalot, while Sociedad’s Mikel Oyarzabal scored a consolation goal.

Fernandes has now contributed to 41 goals in the Europa League, comprising 24 goals and 17 assists, making him the most prolific player in the tournament’s history.

In the quarter-finals, Manchester United will face French side Lyon. The first leg is set for April 10, 2025, in France, with the return fixture scheduled for April 17, 2025, at Old Trafford.
