Commissioned in December 2015, Dangote Cement's Mtwara plant boasts an impressive 500 million tonnes of limestone reserves, capable of sustaining operations for the next 149 years. With Tanzania's cement consumption at just 50kg per capita per annum, well below both the global and African averages, the country’s cement demand is projected to rise.
