Alexander Isak's future at Newcastle hinges on the club qualifying for the UEFA Champions League next season.

The Future of Alexander Isak at Newcastle United Hinges on European Qualification
Former Sunderland midfielder Bolo Zenden has expressed his belief that Alexander Isak will remain at Newcastle United, regardless of the team’s qualification for European competitions.
LONDON, ENGLAND: The future of striker Alexander Isak at Newcastle United will largely depend on whether the team qualifies for next season's UEFA Champions League.
The 25-year-old forward has been one of the most sought-after players in the transfer market, with both Arsenal and Liverpool showing strong interest in securing his services, likely leading to a fierce competition for his signature in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Isak has been enjoying his best season yet, scoring 21 goals and providing five assists across 30 appearances in all competitions. His standout performances include goals against Arsenal in the Premier League and in the EFL Cup.
Newcastle, however, is determined not to part ways with their star striker in the summer transfer window. The club has reportedly set his asking price at £150 million and is working on a new contract that would see him remain at St James' Park well beyond 2028.
While Isak stayed put during the January transfer window, former Premier League striker Emile Heskey believes that Newcastle's chances of retaining him depend on the team's qualification for the Champions League.
Heskey, a former Liverpool and England forward, suggests that Newcastle will only succeed in keeping Isak if they secure a place in Europe's top competition. He emphasized that a special agreement between Isak and the club's management could be reached to facilitate his departure if Newcastle fails to qualify.
However, former Sunderland midfielder Bolo Zenden disagrees, stating that he believes Isak will remain at Newcastle even if the team misses out on European competition. Zenden argues that Isak’s desire to continue playing in a European competition, such as the Europa League, will be enough for him to snub interest from Arsenal and Liverpool, preferring to stay in a familiar and comfortable environment.
