Simba FC Responds After Drawing 2-2 with Azam FC: "We Will Continue the Fight"

Simba SC has issued a statement following their 2-2 draw with Azam FC on February 24, 2025, at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, where both teams shared a point in a hard-fought encounter.

In a message shared via the Instagram page of Ahmed Ally, Simba's Head of Media and Communications, the club emphasized their resolve despite the disappointing result. The statement read:

"While the 2-2 draw against Azam FC was a setback, it will not derail our pursuit of the league title. Although the outcome stings, we refuse to let it dampen our determination for the rest of the season."

The statement also acknowledged the strength of Azam FC, describing them as a "real contender," but reiterated Simba's focus on their goals for the season. It continued:

“We’ve drawn against a strong team, and there’s no reason to feel defeated. We must keep our heads up and continue fighting with confidence. The road to success is still very much open.”
