Simba SC is gearing up for a pivotal CAF Confederation Cup quarterfinal showdown against Egyptian side Al Masry, with the squad scheduled to depart for Cairo in the early hours of Friday.
According to the club's Head of Information and Communications, Ahmed Ally, players currently in Morocco as well as those with the national team, Taifa Stars, will link up with the rest of the squad directly in Egypt ahead of the first-leg fixture.
Speaking about the return leg, Ally stated, “Our theme for the match against Al Masry is ‘Hii Tunavuka’ – which translates to ‘This Time We Advance’. For five consecutive seasons, we’ve exited at the quarterfinal stage. This time, we’re determined to break that streak, God willing.”
In terms of ticketing for the home leg, the prices are as follows:

Addressing concerns over the venue for the return match, Ally assured fans that the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium has undergone a thorough inspection. “While we are still awaiting the official report, preliminary discussions indicate significant improvements have been made to the stadium compared to the last evaluation. This gives us a strong chance of being cleared to host the game there,” he noted.
