Candidate Profile
We are looking for a dynamic, proactive, and experienced professional who brings both leadership and technical expertise. The ideal candidate should demonstrate:

  • A solid foundation in facilities management, construction, and project implementation.

  • The ability to lead a team of approximately 10 technicians effectively.

  • Exceptional organizational skills, with capacity to manage concurrent projects from planning through to execution.

  • Competence in building design and use of architectural/engineering software for plan development.

  • Detail-oriented mindset, particularly in conducting inspections, preparing BOQs, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

  • Experience in institutional, educational, or NGO environments is highly preferred.

  • Additional qualifications in project management, safety, or facilities management (e.g., PMP, NEBOSH, IFMA) will be considered an advantage.

  • Familiarity with sustainable building practices and energy efficiency is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and submit the Annual Maintenance Plan (AMP) by September each year, along with monthly progress updates.

  • Supervise and evaluate construction and maintenance projects to ensure adherence to quality standards.

  • Prepare comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and project implementation procedures for approval.

  • Create and maintain facility-related policies, standard operating procedures, and manuals for continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

  • Conduct regular team meetings to monitor performance, resolve issues, and enhance coordination.

  • Manage Facilities and Asset Management Systems, ensuring accurate infrastructure records are maintained.

  • Work closely with the Assistant Manager in planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.

  • Ensure strict adherence to the school’s Child Protection Policy and maintain a secure environment for all stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Facilities Management, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or a closely related field from a recognized institution.

  • Minimum of five years' experience in facilities or project management roles.

  • Deep understanding of safety regulations, compliance standards, and best practices in maintenance and construction.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical software such as:

    • AutoCAD – for detailed technical drawings

    • Revit – for Building Information Modeling (BIM)

    • SketchUp – for 3D visualizations

    • ArchiCAD – for architectural documentation

  • Familiarity with any facility management software is advantageous.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a track record of managing teams and projects independently.
