President Samia Suluhu Hassan has carried out a reshuffle involving two district commissioners and announced new appointments to the boards of various government institutions.
In an official statement released today, February 21, 2025, by the Chief Secretary, Ambassador Moses Kusiluka, the President's office confirmed the transfers and board appointments.
Dr. Vicent Anney, previously the District Commissioner of Bunda, has been reassigned to Maswa, taking over from Aswege Kaminyoge, who has now been transferred to Bunda from Maswa.
The announcement also highlighted a series of new appointments to significant government positions:

Juma Kimori has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cooperative Societies Regulatory and Supervisory Agency (Coasco), succeeding Yona Killagane, whose term has ended.

Professor Edward Hoseah has been named Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Benjamin Mkapa Hospital, taking over from Dr. Deo Mtasiwa, whose tenure has concluded.

Renatha Rugarabamu is the new Chairperson of the Board of Trustees for the Workers Compensation Fund (WCF), replacing Emmanuel Humba, who completed his term.

Retired Judge Awadh Bawazir has been appointed Chairman of the Public Procurement Appeals Authority (PPAA), succeeding Retired Judge Sauda Mjasiri, who has also finished her term.

Ambassador Ramadhani Muombwa Mwinyi has been reappointed for a second term as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dr. Salim Ahmed Salim International Relations Centre.
These leadership changes reflect the government’s continued commitment to maintaining effective governance across various sectors.
