Job Announcement: IT Technicians (2 Positions)

Kilombero Sugar Company Limited is inviting qualified candidates to apply for two available positions for IT Technicians at its Morogoro facility. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with foundational IT experience who are eager to support essential business systems in a dynamic work environment.

Role Purpose

The appointed IT Technicians will play a critical role in providing first-level technical support, resolving desktop and network issues, and maintaining the day-to-day performance of IT systems for optimal user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver prompt first-line support to users encountering hardware, software, or network-related issues.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, often using remote diagnostic tools.

• Assist with the setup, installation, and configuration of IT equipment and software for end users.

• Log incidents and service requests using a ticketing system, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.

• Conduct regular IT maintenance tasks, including system backups, updates, and performance monitoring.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of common technical issues, solutions, and standard IT procedures.

• Provide user education on IT best practices and emerging technologies.

• Enforce compliance with IT security protocols, including the management of user permissions and access rights.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Diploma in Information Technology or its equivalent from a recognized institution.

• At least 6 months of hands-on experience in installing and configuring computer systems.

• Proven knowledge in installing, configuring, and repairing both computer hardware and software.

• Practical skills in setting up and troubleshooting network devices, including routers and switches.

• Strong diagnostic capabilities to efficiently resolve technical issues across hardware, software, and network layers.

Contract Terms

The selected candidates will be employed under a Fixed-Term Contract.
