ActionAid Tanzania (AATZ), a member of the global ActionAid International Federation, is inviting applications from qualified, experienced, and motivated individuals for the role of Project Coordinator for its Bright Future Project, based in Dar es Salaam.
The Bright Future Project focuses on advocating for the rights and dignity of people living with albinism, addressing issues of poverty, exclusion, and injustice through community empowerment and policy engagement.
As part of a federation that has been active in Tanzania since 1998—and fully established as a national programme by 2000—AATZ has played a pivotal role in driving change across the country through five successive Country Strategy Papers. The organization is fully registered in Tanzania Mainland and is compliant with the Zanzibar Society Act No. 6 of 1995.

Key Responsibilities:
The Project Coordinator will report to the Program and Partnership Manager and will be responsible for the comprehensive coordination and management of the Bright Future Project, including:

Leading the planning, budgeting, implementation, and reporting processes.

Supporting evidence-based advocacy to influence policy changes.

Developing monitoring and evaluation tools to ensure effective learning and adaptation.

Documenting project activities and harvesting outcome-based results.

Working with the finance team to ensure robust financial management and adherence to policy guidelines.

Assisting with resource mobilization through proposal development, network building, and strategic planning.

Strengthening solidarity and movement building for communities affected by albinism.
-
Contributing to strategic direction-setting through TAS development strategies.
-
Ensuring all project activities align with the Human Rights-Based Approach (HRBA), and building partner capacity in this area.
Required Qualifications and Skills:

A minimum of three years of project management experience in social development within the NGO/INGO sector.

Strong skills in communication, public relations, lobbying, and advocacy.

Proven experience in resource mobilization and proposal development.
-
Expertise in networking, stakeholder engagement, and community mobilization.
-
Familiarity with the Human Rights-Based Approach to development.

Competence in Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL).
Education Requirements:

A university degree or advanced diploma in Development Studies, Social Sciences, or Project Management.

A Master’s degree in any Social Science is considered an added advantage.
