Mbeya City Strikers Shine with Hat-Trick Feats

Mbeya City Forwards Dominate Hat-Trick Chart in Championship League

As the Championship League season approaches its final stretch, Mbeya City strikers are stealing the spotlight with remarkable performances, particularly in scoring hat-tricks—three goals in a single match. With just six games remaining, the league has witnessed four hat-tricks so far, just one short of the five recorded last season.

Mbeya City leads the tally, contributing two standout players to this elite group, while Geita Gold and Mbeya Kwanza have each produced a single hat-trick scorer this season.

The first player to register a hat-trick this season was Faraji Kilaza Mazoea of Mbeya City. He netted three goals in a commanding 4-0 victory over Polisi Tanzania—a team he formerly played for—on December 13, 2024, at Sokoine Stadium in Mbeya.

Andrew Simchimba of Geita Gold became the second player to achieve the feat. He scored his hat-trick during a dominant 4-0 win against Transit Camp at Nyankumbu Stadium in Geita on February 10, 2025.

The third hat-trick came from Oscar Tarimo, who joined Mbeya Kwanza during the January transfer window from Polisi Tanzania. Tarimo showcased his striking prowess in a 5-0 demolition of Biashara United on February 23, 2025, in Mtwara.

The most recent entry to the list is William Thobias, who added to Mbeya City's tally by scoring all three goals in a 4-0 rout of Kiluvya United at Sokoine Stadium on March 17, 2025.

With six matches left in the season, anticipation is high for at least one more hat-trick, which would equal last season’s total and further solidify this campaign as a thrilling one for fans of attacking football.
