The National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) is inviting qualified professionals to apply for the position of Examinations Officer II in the Mechanical Engineering discipline.

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be entrusted with a broad range of academic and administrative duties, including:

  • Supervising the marking process of examination scripts.

  • Compiling examiner lists for various national examinations.

  • Overseeing the creation of test items and corresponding marking schemes.

  • Supervising the work of moderators responsible for reviewing test items and marking guidelines.

  • Typesetting and proofreading examination papers and marking schemes to ensure accuracy and consistency.

  • Conducting post-examination analyses to generate insights and provide feedback to schools and other education stakeholders.

  • Performing any other relevant tasks as assigned by a supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must fulfill one of the following academic requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Education, specializing in Mechanical Engineering, from a recognized institution.
    OR

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with an additional Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE).

Remuneration Package

The selected candidate will be compensated under the NECTASS 5/1 salary scale.
