JOB DETAILS:

To provide accurate, high-quality translation and interpretation between English and Chinese, supporting communication between teams, clients, and stakeholders in business, technical, and administrative settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate written documents, reports, and correspondence from English to Chinese and vice versa.
• Provide verbal interpretation during meetings, presentations, and site visits.
• Ensure translations maintain original meaning, tone, and context.
• Work closely with local and international teams to facilitate smooth communication.
• Maintain confidentiality of all translated materials and information.
• Proofread and edit translated documents for accuracy and clarity.
• Assist in preparing bilingual materials for training, marketing, or operational purposes.

Qualifications & Experience

• • Ugandan national with proven fluency in both English and Chinese — written and spoken.
  • Diploma or Degree in Languages, Translation, Linguistics, International Relations, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in translation/interpretation work.
  • Strong understanding of cultural nuances in both languages.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital communication tools.
