Job Summary

  • We are seeking a dynamic and highly qualified Business Trainer to join our Business Studies team at RVIBS. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, a strong academic background in Business-related disciplines, and relevant professional certifications. The Trainer will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons in business-related courses, facilitating the development of students’ business skills, and fostering a conducive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Curriculum Delivery

  • Deliver lectures and facilitate training sessions on business-related courses, including but not limited to Business Management, Economics, Accounting, Finance, and Entrepreneurship.
  • Plan and prepare lesson plans, course materials, and assessments that align with the curriculum and institutional goals.
  • Evaluate students’ academic performance through assignments, exams, and class participation.
  • Provide students with timely feedback to help improve their learning and performance.
  • Use modern teaching methods and technologies to enhance learning outcomes.

Course Management

  • Ensure that all course materials, assignments, and exams are up-to-date and relevant to industry standards.
  • Monitor and maintain a positive classroom environment conducive to student engagement and participation.
  • Organize and manage group discussions, case studies, and other student-driven activities.

Student Support and Mentorship

  • Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, guiding them in course selections, career development, and personal growth.
  • Address students’ questions and concerns regarding course content, assessments, and academic progress.
  • Assist in career counseling and internships placement when applicable.

Professional Development

  • Continuously update personal knowledge and skills to stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and educational best practices.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, workshops, and other professional development activities as required.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic progress.
  • Collaborate with the administration to improve teaching methodologies and contribute to the development of the department.
  • Assist in departmental tasks such as curriculum design, accreditation processes, and co-curricular activities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Commerce (BCOM), Economics, or a related field.
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) qualification, Level 4 or higher.
  • At least 2 years of experience in teaching or training in a business-related discipline.
  • Proven ability to engage and inspire students in a classroom setting.
  • Knowledge of business and economic trends, management principles, and accounting practices.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Leadership Experience (Added Advantage)

  • Leadership experience in an educational or business-related setting is an added advantage.
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior staff or students.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading projects or student groups effectively.
