The Online Application System is intended for use by new prospective students submitting an application to UP for the first time. It is not intended for students presently registered at the University of Pretoria.

an email address which you can access regularly, because as soon as you submit your online application, a student number (EMPLID) will be sent to this email address as confirmation of receipt.

In 2018 we received over 120 000 applications to study at UP in 2019. Unfortunately, we cannot accept all the applications we receive, and therefore select the best students who apply early.

Applications for 2024 will close as soon as we have reached our capacity in 2019. For this reason, it’s best to get your application in as early as possible and to take note of the application closing dates for selection courses by clicking here.
