Noel Anthony Clarke was born on December 6, 1975 in Notting Hill, London. Beyond film, Clarke successfully navigated television. He co-created and starred in the action-drama series Bulletproof (2018–2021), which became a hit for its gritty storytelling and strong performances. 

Under his production company Unstoppable Film and Television (founded with friend and actor Jason Maza), Clarke expanded his creative influence — writing, directing, producing, and acting in a range of projects.

In April 2021, a major crisis befell Clarke’s public standing when more than 20 women accused him of verbal abuse, bullying, and sexual misconduct spanning years, some alleging unwanted touching and harassment on set.

The repercussions were swift and severe: his prestigious 2021 BAFTA honour was suspended, production companies distanced themselves, and his long-running series Bulletproof was cancelled.

Clarke retaliated with a libel lawsuit against The Guardian, seeking substantial damages.  But in August 2025, a ruling from the High Court found the newspaper’s reporting to be “substantially true,” rejecting Clarke’s claims of defamation.  The judge noted that the accusations — including statements from around 30 witnesses — met standards of credibility and public interest.
