Invitation for Sealed Bids From Eligible Bidders for the Provision of the Above Services at Uganda Electricity Generation Company Limited (UEGCL)
Job Description
Uganda Electricity Generation Company Limited (UEGCL) has allocated funds to enhance the Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) System at Nalubaale and Kiira Power Stations, Jinja. The procurement reference number is UEGCL/SPSL/24-25/2497.
1. UEGCL invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the provision of the above services.
2. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open domestic bidding method contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, Cap 205, and is open to all bidders.
3. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding document at the address given below from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
4. The bidding document, prepared in English, may be purchased for a non-refundable fee of UGX 100,000 (Uganda shillings One Hundred Thousand only). Payment will be via bank deposit to UEGCL A/C No. 003001177319, Stanbic Bank, upon which bidders shall present a bank deposit slip as proof of payment. The document will be issued electronically upon presentation.
5. Bids must be delivered to the address below before or on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 10:30 am. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of UGX 4,000,000 (Uganda shillings Four Million Only). The Bid Security must be valid until December 30, 2025. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below on 10th July 2025 at 11:00 am.
6. Bidders are advised to send qualified and experienced technical staff to attend the site visit and observe all conditions and requirements necessary for preparing comprehensive and sustainable bids. All participants are required to come with basic personal protective equipment (PPE), including a hard hat, safety boots, and a reflective jacket.
7. The mandatory site visit is scheduled for 27th June 2025 at Nalubaale-Kiira Plants, Jinja, starting at 11:00 AM.
8. Bidding documents may be inspected, issued from, delivered to, and opened from:

9. The Planned Procurement Schedule (subject to changes) is as follows:
– (a) Publish bid notice: Thursday 19th June 2025
– (b) Pre-bid Site Visit: Friday 27th June 2025 at 11:00am
– (b) Bid closing date: Friday 10 July 2025 at 10:30am
– (d) Evaluation process: Within 10 working days from bid closing date)
– (e) Display and communication of best evaluated bidder notice: Within 3 working days from Contracts Committee award
– (f) Contract signature: After expiry of at least 10 working days from display of the best evaluated bidder notice.
