We are inviting applications to fill the following vacant position:

POSITION:   COST ACCOUNTANT

CONTRACT: PERMANENT

LOCATION:  LUSAKA

Reporting to the Management Accountant, the successful candidate will be accountable for the following:

• Assist in preparation of the monthly periodic management accounts
• Preparing monthly cost variance reports
•  Periodic collation of raw material pricing for BOMs
• Assist in budget formulation, implementation and control
• Coordinate monthly inventory counts
•  Prepare monthly inventory reconciliations
• Perform CWIP analysis and fixed asset capitalization
• Assist to track fixed assets spent to budget
• Prepare monthly fixed assets reconciliations
• Preparing statutory returns for Excise tax
• Providing accounting, budgeting and management information services

This job is particularly suitable for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:

•  Grade 12 Certificate
• Minimum part qualified CIMA/ACCA accountant or equivalent in the related field
•   ZICA Membership
• At least 3 years’ accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
•   Ability to work with accounting packages
• Knowledge in SAP is added advantage
• Ability to advise on management of financial resources
