Job Description
We are looking for a Health & Safety Officer to join our team in Ndola Zambia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental standards across our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor health & safety policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments, and audits to ensure workplace safety.
- Deliver safety training, awareness campaigns, and toolbox talks for employees.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare reports with corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with Zambian laws, regulations, and company safety standards.
- Collaborate with management and staff to promote a strong safety culture.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in health & safety (preferably in logistics, transport, or industrial environment).
- Knowledge of Zambian health & safety regulations.
- Strong communication, leadership, and reporting skills.
- Certification in First Aid, Fire Safety, or related training will be an added advantage.
