Position: Senior Accountant

Location: Addis Ababa Head Office

Contract: 1-year (with possibility of extension based on performance)

Salary: Negotiable

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
• Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulatory requirements, and internal audit policies.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and provide actionable insights for management.
• Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits.
• Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Collaborate with other departments to support financial initiatives and process improvements.

About You

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• At least 5 year proven experience in a similar senior accounting role in NGO
• Strong command of accounting principles and financial management
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
• Proficient in accounting software
• Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively.
