One of our most significant milestones is the launch of a world-class Ntake Edible Oil Refinery at the Namanve Industrial Business Park, which produces a wide range of essential consumer goods, including fortified vegetable cooking oil (20L, 10L, 5L, 3L, and 1L Jerrycans), Ntake Thupu sachets (1000ml, 500ml, 200ml, 100ml, 50ml, and 25ml packs), and an assortment of soaps and fats such as Ntake Laundry Bar Soap – Lemon Green (1kg & 600g), Zuri Brown (1kg & 600g), Zuri Blue (600g), Grey Soap (1kg), Lemon White (1kg & 600g), margarine, baker’s fat, and industrial plastics. As Ntake Bakery continues to grow and expand across East Africa, we are seeking highly motivated, skilled, and detail-oriented individuals to join our CCTV Department as Assistant CCTV Camera Operators at our Mbarara Branch.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and manage CCTV equipment
  • Control and adjust multiple camera systems to ensure full coverage of all designated areas.
  • Confirm that cameras are recording continuously and that playback features are functional.
  • Troubleshoot minor technical issues before escalating to IT or security system providers.
• Monitor live video feeds consistently
  • Watch multiple screens attentively to detect unusual or suspicious behavior.
  • Respond immediately to emergencies such as theft, vandalism, fire hazards, or accidents.
  • Escalate concerns to supervisors or security teams without delay.
• Conduct comprehensive surveillance
  • Ensure all high-risk zones (production lines, storage areas, cash handling points, parking, and entry/exit gates) are covered.
  • Identify blind spots and recommend camera repositioning or additional installations if needed.
  • Maintain constant vigilance during working hours, night shifts, and holidays.
• Report suspicious activities
  • Record and log details of all unusual or criminal incidents.
  • Prepare timely, accurate written reports supported by video evidence.
  • Communicate findings clearly to management and security departments.
• Coordinate with security personnel and authorities
  • Provide real-time updates to on-site security staff during incidents.
  • Share stored CCTV footage with law enforcement agencies when required.
  • Support internal investigations, HR disciplinary cases, and court proceedings with authentic video records.
• Ensure safe storage and retrieval of CCTV footage
  • Label and archive video files systematically for easy access.
  • Restrict footage access to authorized personnel only.
  • Prevent data loss, tampering, or unauthorized duplication of recordings.
• Maintain a secure and organized control room
  • Limit access strictly to authorized monitoring staff.
  • Keep equipment, logs, and reports well-organized and up to date.
  • Ensure that monitoring protocols and security procedures are always followed.
• Assist in reviewing and analyzing footage
  • Support investigations by identifying key timeframes or individuals in recordings.
  • Compile and summarize relevant video clips for management or auditors.
  • Highlight trends, risks, or recurring incidents for preventive measures.
• Contribute to the organization’s overall security strategy
  • Recommend improvements in surveillance coverage and technology upgrades.
  • Participate in security briefings and provide insights from daily monitoring.
  • Support risk management and crime-prevention initiatives.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance
  • Test cameras, monitors, and recording systems regularly.
  • Report technical issues to IT teams or service providers promptly.
  • Ensure all systems are updated and functioning optimally to prevent downtime.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Computing, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in CCTV operations, surveillance, or security monitoring.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent observation and analytical skills.
• Ability to remain focused and alert while monitoring multiple camera feeds.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Working Conditions

• Work Environment: Based in a secure control room at the Mbarara Branch, with access strictly limited to authorized staff.
• Work Hours: May include day, night, weekend, and public holiday shifts on a rotational basis to ensure 24/7 surveillance coverage.
• Nature of Work: Requires long hours of sitting while monitoring multiple screens, maintaining a high level of concentration and alertness.
• Stress Levels: May involve working under pressure during emergencies, incidents, or security alerts.
• Physical Requirements: Must have good vision (with or without corrective lenses) and the ability to focus for extended periods.
• Confidentiality: Handling of sensitive information and video evidence requires strict adherence to confidentiality and data protection policies.
• Collaboration: Frequent coordination with security personnel, IT teams, management, and law enforcement authorities.
• Technical Environment: Regular use of CCTV systems, monitoring software, communication devices, and recording equipment.
