Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the following post:
FACULTY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE
POST 1: STAFF DEVELOPMENT FELLOW (2 POSTS)

Duties and Responsibilities

-Assist in teaching undergraduate courses in Computer Science and related areas under the guidance of faculty members.
-Design and deliver tutorials, workshops, and supplementary learning materials to support student learning and development.
-Collaborate with lecturers to develop assessment tools and provide feedback to students on their academic progress.
-Engage in research projects and assist faculty members with research activities in Computer Science or related fields.
-Participate in the university’s staff development programmes to enhance teaching skills and pedagogical techniques.

The Candidate must enrol for a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Computer Security, Artificial Intelligence or related areas while in the role and complete within five years from the date of appointment.

Qualifications and Experience

A BSc Honours Computer Science / BSc Honours Computer Systems Engineering with at least a 2.1 pass.
Studying towards an MSc in Computer Science/ Computer Systems Engineering or an equivalent in the relevant field is an added advantage.
