- Southwestern Nigeria (Lagos, Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Ekiti, Ondo States)
- Southsouthern Nigeria (Bayelsa, Cross River, Rivers, Delta, Edo and akwa Ibom States)
- North Central Nigeria (Plateau, FCT, Benue, Niger, Kwara, Nasarawa and Kogi States)
Job Summary
Tunjitech Consulting LTD is seeking a highly discreet and well-networked individual to serve as a Local Contact across regions in Nigeria. These are critical roles responsible for providing on-the-ground, actionable intelligence and situational awareness to support our security and risk advisory services. The ideal candidate will have an extensive network within the region and a deep, nuanced understanding of its security, political, and socio-economic dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
- Intelligence Gathering: Collect and provide real-time, accurate, and discreet information on security incidents, emerging threats, and socio-political developments across the southeastern states.
- Situational Reporting: Provide regular, ad-hoc, and on-demand reports on the general security climate, including armed group activities, civil unrest, crime trends, and the operational status of local security forces.
- Networking: Maintain and cultivate a broad network of trusted, discreet contacts across different sectors and communities, including government, civil society, traditional leaders, and local businesses.
- Verification: Cross-verify information from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability before reporting to Tunjitech Consulting.
- Advisory: Provide expert, on-the-ground insights to inform Tunjitech's risk assessments, client briefings, and operational planning.
- Confidentiality: Adhere to the highest standards of confidentiality and discretion in all communications and activities.
- Travel Monitoring: Report on the safety of key travel routes and provide real-time updates on road conditions and potential roadblocks.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience working as a confidential source or in a similar intelligence-gathering role in the region.
- An extensive, verifiable network of contacts within the region.
- Deep, contextual knowledge of the security, political, and cultural landscape of region.
- Exceptional discretion and an understanding of the principles of secure communication.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to provide clear, concise, and timely reports.
- Proven ability to operate independently and gather information in a discreet manner.
- Fluency in English language is required. Knowledge of other local languages is an advantage.
- Must be a resident in Nigeria.
