🇺🇬 Uganda-Specific Activities
1. Stakeholder Analysis Report (May 2023)
Produced with the International Center for Research on Women, this report explores the public health leadership landscape in Uganda. Key barriers include male dominance, lack of support networks, and poor policies. Recommended strategies: mentorship, gender‑inclusive policies, and building women’s leadership pipelines.
2. Leadership Projects & Cohorts
Ugandan professionals participate actively in the East Africa Journey cohorts. For instance, Dr. Carolyn Kamasaka (PATH Uganda) featured in the 2024 cohort.
3. Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Initiative
WomenLift Health highlighted GBV in Uganda via a feature with Dr. Doreen Ondo (Ministry of Health, Uganda). Her work, as part of the 2023 cohort, addresses alarming GBV statistics (e.g., 56 % of married women reporting violence) and advocates institutional responses.
