About Company

The Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) is the governing body responsible for the administration and development of Kampala, Uganda’s capital city. Established in 2011, KCCA replaced the former Kampala City Council (KCC) to enhance service delivery and urban management in the city.

🏛️ Leadership & Governance

KCCA operates under a dual leadership structure comprising political and technical arms. The political leadership includes the Lord Mayor and elected councilors, while the technical arm is headed by the Executive Director, who oversees the daily operations and implementation of city policies.

Kampala is divided into five administrative divisions, each managed by a mayor:

  2. Kawempe Division

  3. Makindye Division

  4. Nakawa Division

  5. Rubaga Division

These divisions facilitate localized governance and service delivery within the city.
