The East African Civil Aviation Academy (EACAA), also known as the Soroti Flying School, is a prominent aviation training institution located in Soroti, Uganda. Established in 1971 under the Directorate of Civil Aviation of the East African Community (EAC), the academy has played a pivotal role in training aircraft pilots and maintenance engineers in the region.

EACAA is situated at Soroti Airport, approximately 228 kilometers northeast of Entebbe International Airport. Its location offers a conducive environment for aviation training with minimal air traffic disruptions.

🛫 Fleet and Facilities
As of May 2018, EACAA operated nine training aircraft. The academy has been undergoing renovations to enhance its facilities and aims to become a center of aviation excellence in the region.

EACAA admits both Ugandan and international students. Prospective students are required to submit academic documents (O and A-levels or their equivalents), pay an application fee, and may need to have their qualifications equated to Ugandan standards.
