Basic Information & Mission

FamKris HealthCare Initiative (FHCI) is a non-governmental, non-profit, and non-political organization based in Abuja, Nigeria. It was founded by Pharmacist Christian O. Onuh. The organization’s mission is to bridge gaps in access to quality healthcare, especially in underserved and rural communities. FHCI supports community-based primary health services, public health interventions, and health systems strengthening.

Geographic Presence

FHCI operates in 11 states across Nigeria, spanning the Northwest, Southeast, Southwest, and North Central zones. Its headquarters is in Abuja, with a corporate office in Lokoja, Kogi State.

Programmatic Focus & Projects

Focus areas include infectious diseases, particularly malaria control and elimination, as well as health systems strengthening.

The initiative supports data management and logistics for health facilities and has delivered essential tools to state ministries of health to improve service delivery.

FHCI is also involved in donor-funded projects such as the IsDB-Live and Livelihood project in Kogi State.

The organization frequently recruits for specialized roles in malaria elimination projects, community health, logistics, monitoring and evaluation, and healthcare waste management.

Recently, FHCI supported Kogi State’s Ministry of Health by donating essential tools to strengthen public health service delivery.

The initiative continues to scale its malaria elimination projects, with job openings regularly posted to expand its technical and program staff.

FHCI is actively increasing its visibility and impact across multiple Nigerian states through partnerships and community-focused projects.
