Over time, the company evolved — it traded as Food Specialties Limited in the 1970s, later became Nestlé Foods Nigeria in the 1990s, and eventually transformed into Nestlé Nigeria Plc.
The company initially focused on distribution and sales of imported Nestlé products. As demand grew, it started local manufacturing, beginning with seasoning (Maggi) and progressively adding more food lines.
