Name & Status: Bank of India (Uganda) Limited, a licensed commercial bank in Uganda.
Establishment & Relaunch: Officially commenced operations on 18 June 2012. The bank had an earlier presence in Uganda before 1972 but exited after the expulsion of Asians.
Ownership / Affiliation: BOI Uganda is part of the global Bank of India group, one of India’s major banks with extensive domestic and international operations.

Regulator: Licensed and regulated by the Bank of Uganda, the country’s central bank.
