The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has been actively engaged in Uganda since 1981, focusing on eradicating hunger, enhancing food security, and promoting sustainable agricultural development. FAO Uganda collaborates closely with the Ugandan government and various stakeholders to implement programs in agriculture, livestock, fisheries, forestry, and resilience building against climate change.

FAO Uganda comprises approximately 84 staff members, including 18 international and 60 national staff. The team is led by Mr. Querido Antonio Luis Ferreira, the FAO Country Representative. The staff is distributed between the Kampala office and various field locations across Uganda.
