The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) is the national regulatory authority responsible for overseeing Uganda’s communications sector, encompassing telecommunications, broadcasting, radio communication, postal services, data communications, and related infrastructure. Established under the Uganda Communications Act of 1997 and amended in 2013, UCC operates as an independent government agency. Its core mandate includes licensing, spectrum management, consumer protection, and promoting universal access to communication services across the country .
