The International Rescue Committee (IRC) has been operational in Uganda since 1998, providing critical humanitarian assistance to both Ugandan nationals and refugees from neighboring countries such as South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo. In 2023 alone, the IRC assisted over 1 million individuals in Uganda, focusing on areas like health, education, economic wellbeing, protection, and empowerment.
