Community Empowerment for Peace and Development – West Nile (CEPAD-WN) is a voluntary, non-profit organization founded in 2014 by Ugandan peace and conflict feminist scholars. Initially established as a Community-Based Organization (CBO), it gained registration as a Local NGO in 2021 (Registration No. 5623), authorized to operate countrywide.

Philosophy


CEPAD-WN believes in building peaceful, democratic societies through awareness of civil and political rights. Its foundation is NonViolence—pursuing justice without harming individuals or property, aiming to liberate both the oppressed and the oppressor.
