History
Founded in 1997 by Ken Mbiuki, initially as a small ICT training center.
Formally registered as Zetech College in 1999, focusing on certificate and diploma courses.
Partnered with Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) in the 2000s to offer degree programs.
Granted a Letter of Interim Authority in 2014, officially allowing it to operate as a university.
The Ruiru Campus was inaugurated in 2015 by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Held its first degree graduation in 2017.
Became a fully chartered university in 2022.
Campuses
Ruiru Main Campus – Along Thika Road, about 20 km from Nairobi. Features include ICT labs, media studios, a 750-seat library, and the iZet Hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.
Nairobi City Campus – Located in the CBD, designed for working professionals and graduate students.
Mang’u / Technology Park Campus – Expansion hub for specialized facilities and new programs.
