    In March–April 2024 and July 2024, Ericsson and MTN Uganda ran a three-week training for women entrepreneurs in Kampala markets (e.g. Kalerwe), teaching them mobile-money tools via Ericsson’s Mobile Financial Services powering MTN’s MoMo platform.

    • Aimed to promote gender and financial inclusion.

    • The program included savings, cash‑flow, credit training, practical MoMo use, and a competition rewarding top local MoMo users.

    In August 2024, Ericsson (with GD Experts Ltd) received MTN Uganda’s Supplier Innovation Award for enhancing MTN’s network infrastructure and service delivery.

  • Mobile Wallet Platform
    Ericsson implemented its Converged Wallet platform to support MTN Uganda’s ~7 million MoMo users, ensuring compliance with local regulation and service reliability.
